Day 4: Minto Cup Recap

The theme for Day Four of the Minto Cup was, “win and you are in, lose and head home!” For the second time in two nights the Orangeville Northmen and the Calgary Mountaineers faced off. Unlike the night before there was more than just home field advantage up for grabs, the winner would go on to face the Coquitlam Adanacs in the Minto Cup Finals.

In the first period, the Calgary Mountaineers got off to a quick start scoring two of the first three goals, but that was as close as the game would get. Orangeville would go on to score 11 of the next 13 goals en route to a 12-7 victory.

The Northmen were led by Matt Gilray who had three goals and Adam Charalambides who scored 4 goals and tallied 7 points.
