BCJALL Postpones Games After Tragic Death

by Owen Munro

The BCJALL has rescheduled two games this week in light of the tragic news of the loss of an important member of the New Westminster lacrosse community. 19-year-old Olivia Malcom was tragically hit and killed by a vehicle on June 2. A GoFundMe has been set up for the Olivia Malcom Kindness Bursary in her honour, which you can find here: https://www.gofundme.com/omkindness

The League, along with the rest of the lacrosse community, extend our deepest condolences to the Malcom family as they deal with their tragic loss. We'd like to thank everyone helping the Malcom family at this time.

In light of these events, tonight's New Westminster - Langley game has been postponed to a later date, sometime before the end of June. Sunday's New Westminster - Nanaimo game has also been postponed, but in lieu of that game, the Coquitlam Adanacs will now host the Timbermen in a game that was originally scheduled on July 1 on Sunday June 10 at 5 PM.

We will have more details about the rescheduled games in the coming week.
