Day 2: Minto Cup Recap

The Minto Cup has completed its second day. In the early game the Coquitlam Adanacs played the Calgary Mountaineers. The first thirty minutes of the game saw both teams trading the first six goals. After that, the Adanacs took over with help from Captain Tyler Pace who had a multi-goal game and Dereck Downs added three more. Coquitlam won Game Three 10-3.

The second game of the evening featured the Delta Islanders against the Orangeville Northmen. Both of whom were on the wrong side of the scoresheet the day previous. The game looked like it was out of reach for Delta but after a late goal in the first and a second period that saw them score five in a row, the game was brand new heading into the third period. Ontario took the lead early in the final frame and never looked back. Delta made things interested scoring a late goal but it was not enough as the Northmen won 10-9.

In Day 3 action, the Orangeville Northmen will host the Calgary Mountaineers at 5:00pm. While the Coquitlam Adanacs try to maintain their perfect record when they play the Delta Islanders at 8:00pm.
