The Burnaby Lakers shifted their post-season into overdrive for game three and four of their second round series, handing the Adanacs two losses which didn't sit well for the team who went 20-1 in the regular season. Wednesday night in Coquitlam would decide the fate of the team to advance to the BCJALL finals to face the Salmonbellies, who defeated the defending champions Victoria on Sunday night.

A quick estimation would put the crowd between 700-900 fans with quite a few members of the 'Bellies team and organization in the crowd to see their future opponents in action, as well as a surplus of Laker fans eager to see if they could pull up one of the biggest upsets in post season history. Both teams threw away their first offensive chances of the game due to nerves, but after that it was Coquitlam who would make use of a four minute check from behind penalty with Corbyn Tao opening up scoring. One goal was all the A's needed to run away with the period as Travis Cornwall, Robert Church, Matt Dinsdale, Tor Reinholdt, and Robert Church would all follow Tao's lead and give Coquitlam the huge six goal advantage heading into the break.

It's hard to see the bright side of a situation like this but at least Burnaby had the drive to make it a series in game three.

Congratulations to the Coquitlam Adanacs who go on to the BCJALL finals to face the tenacious Salmonbellies who knocked off the defending champion Shamrocks to make the finals for the first time since 1996. The A's should expect another hard fought series, against a team who has nothing to lose and a complete desire to push forward.

TO THE FINALS!
